Do I have to use a line of credit?

Nope. You can use a savings account or even a low-interest credit card with a large credit limit. If you choose to use a savings account, we recommend that you set up one savings account for your reserves like you normally would, and that you use a separate savings account as your shredder account. In the case of using a credit card, beware of cash advance fees that will diminish your system's potential.

Is this just for paying off my mortgage?
